UVic Summer Piano
July 7th – 14th, 2024
The second annual UVic Summer Piano Immersion program will be held this summer at the University of Victoria School of Music in Victoria, BC. During the week-long immersive program, participants will:
- Actively be involved in morning and afternoon masterclasses led by the four instructors: May Ling Kwok, Michelle Mares, Jamie Syer and Bruce Vogt.
- Have the option of performing at daily noon-time recitals on one of the two Steinway Concert Grands in the Phillip T. Young Recital Hall.
- 1 forty-minute private lesson
- Have complete access to the 28 practice rooms in the music school building, open daily from 7 am-11 pm.
- Have the opportunity to register for the course on Alexander Skryabin and the Russian Piano School in the Silver Age, led by Dr. Michelle Fillion and Bruce Vogt, offered for two hours each afternoon.
Who is eligible?
Anyone aged 16+ with repertoire the equivalent of level 8 or higher Royal Conservatory of Music (exceptions may be allowed by special arrangement).

- $600 (CAD)

- Cost: $200 (CAD).
Further Options
- Additional private lessons (40 or 60 minute) with instructors will be available upon request for an extra discounted charge: $60/hour.
- Masterclass devoted to 4-hand or 2-piano repertoire
Registration opens on February 1, 2024
Attendees are responsible for arranging their own accommodation and meals.
